World's leading robotics experts Brisbane-bound

It’s the first time the prestigious international forum will be held in Australia and the event at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 21-25 reflects the growing recognition of Australia’s thought leadership in robotic science.

2500 of the world’s leading robotic and automation experts, including 300 Australians, are attending the International Conference of Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2018 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"Australia is leading the way in many areas of robotics so the opportunity to showcase that work to a global audience is exciting," ICRA 2018 Chair Dr Alex Zelinksy said.

ICRA is the premier science conference for robotics globally so we are proud to be showcasing the emerging trends in robotics and automation that are critical to Australia’s future prosperity,"

As part of ICRA, members of the public can hear from distinguished experts on popular and cutting-edge topics in the field of robotics and automation through the free ICRA-X series of talks.

"ICRA-X is your chance to be inspired by some of the biggest game-changers in robotics including 2012 Young Australian of the Year and Forbes 30 Under 30 2016, Marita Cheng," Dr Zelinsky said. "Come and be inspired by what is already possible in the world of robotics and what’s coming over the horizon."

ICRA’s Platinum Sponsors are CSIRO, DJI, Australian Department of Defence, QUT and Woodside. Gold Sponsors are Baidu, Bosch and Tencent.
