Wounding Appeal, Deception Bay

Detectives from the Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for witnesses and dashcam following a disturbance in Deception Bay on June 28.

Police were called to a group allegedly armed and fighting in Bailey Road shortly after 6pm.

A 33-year-old man was taken to Redcliffe Hospital for treatment while a 54-year-old man was to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital for surgery.

A 20-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on July 23.

A 33-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with one count of acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 22.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam vision from Bailey Road between 6pm and 6.30pm.
