Wounding Incident Charges, Clayfield

Gateway Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 17-year-old Salisbury boy in relation to an alleged serious assault in Clayfield on 29 November.

Police responded to a large disturbance at an Oriel Road, Clayfield address around 9.30pm.

Upon police arrival, officers dispersed a large group of juveniles when another disturbance broke out nearby on Brooke Street.

It will be alleged the 17-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old Eaton Hills boy were involved in a physical altercation.

It is further alleged the 16-year-old boy sustained a large wound to his back and the offender left the scene prior to police arrival.

The 16-year-old boy was transported to Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital in a stable condition.

A 17-year-old Salisbury boy has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, going armed to cause fear and assault occasioning bodily harm in company.

He is due to appear before Brisbane Childrens Court today, 2 December.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or vision to come forward.
