Aspiring writers and creative enthusiasts are invited to take part in an upcoming creative writing workshop at Sans Souci Library later this month, led by Australian fiction author Alicia Thompson.
The workshop, titled Exercise Your Writing Muscles, will be held on Wednesday 20 May from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the library, located at 104 Russell Avenue, Sans Souci.
Designed for adults, the short class offers participants the chance to develop their storytelling skills in a collaborative group setting.
Attendees will engage in a series of structured writing exercises focused on different aspects of story writing. They will also have the opportunity to share their work with others in the group and receive constructive feedback.
The session aims to help participants not only refine their writing techniques but also gain inspiration from fellow writers and build confidence in expressing their ideas.
Workshop facilitator Alicia Thompson brings a wealth of experience to the session. An established Australian fiction author, Thompson completed a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Technology Sydney.
She has published two books with US publisher NineStar Press and regularly teaches creative writing courses across the east coast of Australia.
The Sans Souci workshop presents a valuable opportunity for local residents to learn directly from an experienced author while connecting with others who share a passion for writing.
Registration is essential, and interested participants are encouraged to secure their place in advance.
