Wyndham City is delighted to announce the launch of Wyndham Cultural Centre's 2026 theatre season.
Wyndham City Mayor Cr Josh Gilligan encouraged residents to explore the new program, with tickets now on sale for an incredible thirty shows next year
"In 2026 Wyndham Cultural Centre will mark its 25th anniversary and it's set to be a huge year ahead, with the likes of Bell Shakespeare, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Ross Noble, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Circa, Umbilical Brothers, Na Djinang, and more!" Cr Gilligan said.
"This season will be the biggest yet - bringing together world-class performers, local artists and a range of entertainment shows that cater for all ages and interests."
"With Christmas just the around the corner, it's the perfect opportunity to gift an experience to that someone special, with laugh-out-loud comedy shows, classical music, musical tributes, beloved children's classics, circus and moving theatre performances."
The season will kick off in February with mind-blowing physical comedy and nonstop laughs, with The Umbilical Brothers - Speedmouse and the powerful I'm With Her, written by Emmy nominee Victoria Midwinter Pitt.
Every local hall has a story to tell and this February, the program will include Hall Stories with Damian Callinan at the Little River Mechanics Institute Hall - a must-see performance that will bring together local community stories of the Hall and Little River from years gone by.
The Melbourne Chamber Orchestra will delight audiences with performances for adults and children, while Bell Shakespeare will perform at Wyndham Cultural Centre for the very first time with their production of Macbeth.
The live music program will also include Joey Fimmano's Music of the Night, high energy fun with Elvis to the Extreme and following the success of last year's performance a must for all the Swifties with The Ultimate Taylor Swift Tribute Show, Reputation.
There'll be loads to enjoy for our littlest residents, with:
Trash with a Porpoise from the hilarious Trash Puppets and Where is the Green Sheep? - an immersive visual experience bringing the beloved children's book by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek to life.
The Alphabet of Awesome Science is a thrilling voyage with scientific surprises for ages 5 - 12, and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra's beautiful Wurrtoo, the Wombat who fell in love with the sky brings together classical music and storytelling through a uniquely Australian lens.
Following its inaugural season in 2025, Wyndham Cultural Centre will bring their Fam Bam LIVE Children's Festival back for the September school holidays featuring The Australian Ballet, Mr Snotbottom, Coach Mon's Comedy Games and Wolfgang in the Stars and more, bringing joy to children and families.
