You Are Always Welcome At Hawkesbury Library Service

Picture of a man and his baby reading a book in the library.Hawkesbury Library Service is celebrating Library and Information Week 2025 with a Membership Drive and Welcome Bag Promotion running from 28 July to 31 August.

Library staff will be popping up across the Hawkesbury, visiting local organisations and services to share information about library programs, and to hand out some very special Welcome Cards. These green cards can be brought into any branch and exchanged for a free Welcome Bag (while stocks last) featuring information and Library goodies. You don't have to join the Library to receive a bag - but if you do, you'll go into the draw to win one of five $100 gift cards.

Current and returning members are also included in the fun. If your Library card is lost or your membership has lapsed, you're eligible for a free replacement card during the promotion period.

This promotion launches during Library and Information Week 2025, a national celebration of the essential role libraries play in building strong, informed, and connected communities. Libraries provide more than just books—they offer safe and inclusive spaces for learning, creativity, technology access, literacy support, and lifelong learning for people of all ages and backgrounds.

This community-focused campaign is a great opportunity to explore the Library's welcoming spaces, connect with staff, and learn about the wide variety of programs, digital resources, and support services available to all. There has never been a better time to discover (or rediscover) the free services and programs your Library has to offer!

The membership drive Competition terms and conditions are available on the Library website: hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library
