Youngtown woman charged with drink driving

A 59-year-old Youngtown woman has been charged with drink driving after an incident on Boland Street, Launceston about 9am today.

The woman returned a breath analysis reading of 0.222 and was immediately disqualified from driving. She will appear in court at a later date.

Police would like to remind the public that they will be conducting random alcohol and drug testing during the Christmas and New Year period, as part of Operation Safe Arrival.
