What was once a tagged wall in Dromana is now alive with colour, memories, and community spirit.

As part of the BrightWalls Graffiti Mural Program, the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre has been transformed into Postcards from Dromana, a mural celebrating the Peninsula through the eyes of local youth.

Over nine days in December, local artist Daniel van de Wiel worked with young people aged 18 to 24, running workshops and painting sessions that let them share their memories, energy, and ideas.

The result is more than just a mural. Each scene captures summertime moments, nostalgic corners of the Peninsula, and the different moods of community life - creating something that resonates across generations.

For Daniel, working with young people not only brought excitement and fresh perspectives, but also sparked reflection on his own experiences of the area.

BrightWalls isn't just about public art - it's about connection, creativity and giving young people a platform to contribute to spaces they care about.

Watch the video to see how this wall became a shared story, painted together, one brushstroke at a time.
