Youth assaulted and robbed at Elizabeth East , SA

Elizabeth Police are seeking information from the local community after teenage boy was assaulted and robbed by a male wielding a baseball bat last night at Elizabeth East, according to SA Police.

At about 9.30pm on Saturday 13 August, a youth had just got off a bus on Midway Road, when he was approached by a male armed with a baseball bat threatening him and demanding his wallet. The victim was hit twice in the face with the baseball bat before the suspect stole the wallet and ran off.

Police patrols searched the area but didn't locate the suspect who is described as about 18-years-old of aboriginal appearance, 165cms tall with a cream jacket and wearing a baseball cap.

The victim was taken to the Lyell McEwen hospital with facial injuries that required stitches.
