A 17-year-old female detainee at the Don Dale Youth Detention Centre escaped custody from an off-site facility today at about 10am, Northern Territory Police say.
Territory Families is working with Northern Territory Police to locate the young person. She does not present a danger to the community.
It is possible she may be around the Palmerston area.
