The Department will join other Northern Territory Government agencies including the Department of People, Sport and Culture's Office of Youth Affairs, along with community partners at today's event.
Young people in detention have also been supported to participate through the Department of Corrections, ensuring their voices are included in conversations about how systems can better respond. The team has taken out top spot in the couch racing event for the past 2 years and are aiming for a third win in 2026.
The community is encouraged to come along to Civic Park, support the event and cheer on the teams in the couch racing, and show support for young people experiencing homelessness.
