Youths arrested for trying to steal scooters, South Australia

Two youths were arrested after allegedly trying to steal scooters at Kurralta Park overnight.

At 2am on Tuesday 20 August, a resident called police to report suspicious behaviour in the car park of a block of units on Anzac Highway.

Southern District Police were quick to arrive on the scene and located two suspects crouched down behind a car at the scene.

A third youth ran off, over fences and Police Dog Zac was called in to assist with the search, but did not locate him.

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from the northern suburbs, were arrested and charged with two counts of illegal interference and going equipped to commit an offence.

They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
