Youths charged over serious assault, SA

Three youths have been arrested and police are seeking witnesses following a serious assault near the Oaklands Park Railway Station yesterday evening, according to SA Police.

At 5.15pm on Wednesday 9 November, a man sustained a serious head injury following an altercation near the intersection of Diagonal Way and Crew Street, Oaklands Park. Emergency services found the man unconscious and he was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Following investigations by Sturt CIB detectives, three juveniles were arrested last night in relation to the assault.

A 17-year-old girl from Dover Gardens, a 14-year-old boy from Aberfoyle Park and a 14-year-old boy from Seaford Meadows were all charged with aggravated assault cause serious harm. They did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
