Over 23 days and nights, Vivid Sydney will illuminate the city, transforming it into a vibrant outdoor gallery showcasing cutting-edge light installations and 3D art.

The colourful festival will take over streets, buildings and venues across Sydney CBD, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and Circular Quay, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Customs House and the Sydney Opera House.

A celebration of lights, music and ideas, this year's program will deliver fresh experiences and include several first-time installations.

Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres says Vivid Sydney is a bright star of Sydney's event calendar that supports the entire ecosystem of NSW's visitor economy.

"It brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city, inspires locals to get out and enjoy Sydney and support our CBD businesses. 2021 is the year for us all to reconnect with Vivid Sydney," Mr Ayres said.

Vivid Sydney will welcome visitors, locals, creatives and industry professionals from 6 August 2021.
