2019-20 NT Arts Grants opens with new Creative Industries Program

The Northern Territory Arts GrantsProgram for 2019-20 is now open with Arts Projects and Professional Developmentgrants opening today.

The 2019-20 grant program includes a newCreative Industries stream that incorporates:

  • Arts Project funding to develop and showcase NT contemporaryart and provide opportunities for the community to participate in arts andculture.
  • Creative Fellowships for established artists and arts workersto develop their careers and the NT creative industries; and
  • Strategic Projects that grow sustainable creative industrieswith a focus on the arts.

The 2019-20 NT Arts Grants Program alsoincludes a new five year funding program for Leading Arts Organisations.

The Northern Territory Arts GrantsProgram supports career development and employment opportunities for artists orprofessional arts workers and increases opportunities for visitors andTerritorians to participate in memorable arts experiences.

Arts Project grants provide funding of upto $20,000 per grant for NT artists and notfor- profit organisations forprojects that showcase and promote NT arts practice, research, develop orcreate new art works and develop artist and/or arts worker skills.

Emerging artists can also apply for ArtsProject grant funding up to $15,000 per grant to develop new work, showcase orupskill.

The Creative Industries Program ArtsProjects Grants open Friday 16 August 2019 and close Monday 23 September 2019.

The Professional Development Fund is alsoopen and offers up to $2,000 for professional artists and arts workers toundertake professional development, employment and showcasing opportunities.

The Professional Development Fund is openall year or until the funding pool is expended.
