2021 Chief Minister's NT History Book Award now open

The Chief Minister's Northern Territory History Book Award is now open for submissions.

The Award celebrates the most significant book about the history of the Northern Territory published in the previous year, with the winning author receiving $1,000 in prize money.

Entries are open until Wednesday 7 April 2021.

To be eligible for the award, the book must be a work on NT history, written in English, offered for general sale, and published between 1 January and 31 December 2020.

The judging panel is made up of experts who have a knowledge and understanding of NT history and experience in research, editing and writing; nominated and overseen by Library & Archives NT.

The shortlist will be announced in June and the winner announced in July 2021.
