The local community has donated almost $35,000 to the 2025 Mount Gambier Community Mayor's Christmas Appeal, providing vital support to individuals and families experiencing hardship during the festive season.
A total of $34,769.51 was raised through the Appeal, and City of Mount Gambier Mayor Lynette Martin is appreciative to the community for its generosity during a time of increasing cost‑of‑living pressures.
"Considering the challenges many people are currently facing, it was incredibly heartening to see our community continue to think of others and give so generously," Mayor Martin said.
"I am sincerely grateful to every individual, group and business who supported the 2025 Appeal. The compassion and care shown by our community makes a real difference for people who need extra support at Christmas."
