The Northern Territory Allied Health Excellence Awards are now open.
The Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of allied health professionals who make a difference to the health and wellbeing of Territorians.
Allied health professionals perform a critical role in the healthcare system by providing a range of specialist services and support that improve patient outcomes.
There are 8 award categories for allied health professionals, including allied health assistants and technicians, working in any healthcare setting. The categories include:
o Early Career Excellence
o Excellence in Clinical Practice
o Excellence in Research or Quality Improvement
o Excellence in Leadership
o Team Excellence
o Excellence in Community Practice
o Excellence in Allied Health Assistance/Technical Support
o Allied Health Honour Roll
The Awards are held annually in October, with nominations open until Sunday 27 July 2025.
The Awards are for allied health professionals and allied health assistants or technicians who are employed in the NT at the time of nomination. An exception is the Allied Health Honour Roll award, which also accepts nominations for people who have recently retired.
Finalists will be announced by Adj Associate Professor Renae Moore and allied health leaders on Wednesday 10 September 2025 via an announcement video.
The Award winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at Darwin George Brown Botanical Gardens on Friday, 17 October 2025.
