2025 Study NT Int'l Student Awards: Nominations Open

International students who have made an outstanding contribution to their studies and local community are being sought for the 2025 Study NT International Student Awards.

The awards recognise current international student's and alumni's achievements.

The awards also highlight local business support for international students and graduates by employing them.

The award categories include:

· International Student of the Year

· International Student Volunteer of the Year

· International Alumni of the Year

· International Student Employer of the year

Previous winners continue to contribute significantly to the Northern Territory community and act as inspiring role models to their peers.

Cong Do Le, 2024 Study NT International Student of the Year said, "the Study NT International Student Awards are really important in recognising the achievements and contributions of international students in the Northern Territory."

"Winning this award made me feel very proud and motivated to keep contributing to the community, while also encouraging other students to believe in themselves."

"Living and working in the NT allows me to give back to the place that supported my growth. Studying in the NT has always been one of the best choices I have ever made."

As of May 2025, there are 4,278 international students enrolled to study in the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory Government is committed to increasing the number of international students studying here in the Territory.

Deputy Chief Executive Kelly Ralston said, "International students are an important part of the Territory's economy and community, sharing with us their diverse cultures, impressive skills and inspiring stories."

"By celebrating our international student community, we are enriching their study experience and enhancing our international education sector.

"A positive experience shared by students has ongoing impacts in attracting further students to the Territory.

"I encourage all international students, their peers and local business community to nominate today."

Nominations are now open and close 2 October.

Winners will be announced on 20 November at Parliament House.
