2026 Wyndham Art Prize Entries Open

The 2026 Wyndham Art Prize is now open for artists to enter their new or existing works.

The Wyndham Art Prize attracts some of the best artists from across Australia and offers opportunities for local and emerging artists to exhibit their work. Entries close on Friday 3 October 2025.

Wyndham Art Gallery established the Wyndham Art Prize in 2015 and it has grown in calibre and prominence.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said: "The Wyndham Art Prize is a wonderful opportunity for both new and upcoming artists to exhibit their works."

"Council is thrilled to announce the independent judging panel for the 2026 Wyndham Art Prize are acclaimed and past WAP winner Camille Hannah, Head Curator at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Kendrah Morgan, and Lardil Curator & Writer Maya Hodge."

"We have a wonderful community in Wyndham and we encourage local artists in Wyndham to enter."

"This means that both emerging and established artists from all backgrounds are exhibited side-by-side, a priority for Wyndham Art Gallery." Cr Shaw said

Artworks in any form, including (but not limited to) sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, photography, installation, digital sound and video are accepted.

Artworks are shortlisted on their own merits by Wyndham Art Gallery curators, Dr Megan Evans and Olivia Poloni.

As part of the 2025 prize, Wyndham City is offering the following monetary prizes, Wyndham Art Prize: First Prize $15,000 non-acquisitive prize, Second Prize $10,000, Third Prize $8,000 and a Wyndham Local Emerging Artist Prize (LEAP) $5,000 acquisitive.

The exhibition showcasing the winning entries will be on display next year from 19 January to 22 March 2026 at the Wyndham Art Gallery.
