Nominations are now open for the 2027 Casey Community Awards to recognise the outstanding residents who go above and beyond to help make Casey a better place to live.
Both individuals and community groups can be nominated across eight award categories, recognising their contribution in either a professional or volunteer capacity. Previous recipients have been recognised for contributions in a range of fields including sport, arts, multiculturalism, humanities and community services.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Michelle Crowther said the annual awards give everyone the chance to put forward those people and organisations who they believe help make a difference.
"There are so many people in our community who go above and beyond in their contribution to the Casey community," Cr Crowther said.
"Whether it's a tireless volunteer, a passionate professional, or a local group making a real impact in their community, I encourage everyone to get involved and nominate so our local heroes get the recognition they deserve."
Nominations for the 2027 Awards are open to all Casey residents, not just Australian citizens, across the following categories:
Casey Citizen of the Year
Casey Young Citizen of the Year
Casey Senior of the Year
Casey Woman of the Year
Casey Environment and Sustainability Champion Award
Casey Equity and Inclusion Award
Lindsay King Art Award
Casey Community Group of the Year
Nominations close on Monday 16 November 2026 and all finalists will be invited to a special awards ceremony in March 2027.
