24 organisations receive Club Grants funding in QPRC

Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre

Each year Club Grants funding is available for a range of community groups and organisations.

This year 24 groups were successful in securing more than $215,000.

Groups and projects that were successful this year include:

  • 2nd Queanbeyan Scouts - Heating/Cooling and Solar for the 2nd Queanbeyan Scout Hall
  • ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group - Financial assistance for cancer affected families
  • Australian War Widows NSW Ltd - Enriching the lives of the Queanbeyan War Widows Social Club
  • Barnardos Australia - Queanbeyan Homework Club
  • Bombay Riders - Keeping Bombay Riders safe
  • Bungendore Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade - Brigade Capability Enhancements
  • Campbell Page Helping Hands - School Holiday Program access support
  • Girl Guides Association of NSW - Queanbeyan Girl Guides - Outdoor Adventure Education Archery
  • High Street Care Queanbeyan - Emergency Food Relief
  • Karabar High School - Yarning Circle Shade Structure
  • Meals on Wheels Queanbeyan – Volunteer recognition and client Christmas celebration
  • Men of League Foundation Limited - Wellbeing Support for the men, women and children of the Rugby League Community
  • Mura Preschool - Access and inclusive environment improvements
  • Operations Support Group Lake George Zone - Remote fire fighting equipment
  • PCYC NSW - Fit for Life Queanbeyan
  • Queanbeyan and District Anglican Church - Instantaneous hot water systems
  • Queanbeyan Children's Special Needs Group Inc - Water Safety Program for children with disabilities
  • Queanbeyan Little Athletics Centre - Competition equipment
  • Queanbeyan Multilingual Centre Inc - Queanbeyan Multicultural Supported Playgroup
  • Queanbeyan Schools as Community Centres – A Kindy Gym for Queanbeyan SaCC and Transition to School Playgroup for Queanbeyan and Queanbeyan East Public School
  • St Benedict's Community Centre (auspice body Life Resources Centre Inc)
  • The Shepherd Centre - Talk Together: A life-changing program of support for parents of deaf children in the Queanbeyan-Palerang area
  • Waratah Preschool - Restoring their Sandpit area
  • Win the Day - Assistance for cancer affected families
