The Cook Government has confirmed Ochre Project Services as the project manager for new basketball facilities at Bunbury's Hay Park Precinct.
Ochre Project Services has a proven track record in delivering community projects across Western Australia and their appointment marks a significant step forward in the delivery of a key piece of South West sports infrastructure.
The Cook Government recently committed $17.7 million in the 2025-26 Budget to supplement an existing $8 million commitment, bringing the total investment for the project to $25.7 million.
The project is part of the PlayOn WA: 2030 by 2030 initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by the year 2030.
The facility is now progressing towards detailed design and will see four indoor courts built at a standalone facility at Hay Park for multiple sports including basketball and netball.
The venue aims to support the Bunbury Basketball Association and provide first class facilities for a range of indoor sports, while also positioning the region to attract high-level indoor sporting events.
As stated by Premier Roger Cook:
"This $25.7 million investment will deliver the world-class basketball facilities that the growing community of Bunbury and the South West region deserves.

"The Cook Government is committed to delivering high quality and accessible sport and recreation facilities for all Western Australians as part of PlayOn WAso there aremore opportunities for people to play, move and connect wherever they live.
"I am proud that this key project is being delivered for the South West community as part of our record investment into community sports infrastructure through PlayOn WA."
As stated by Bunbury MLA Don Punch:

"Basketball is one of the fastest growing sports in our region and these new courts will provide a modern, purpose-built home for the Bunbury Basketball Association to support local players and clubs, while also creating a new indoor facility that can host a range of other events."
