25 Human Rights Groups Urge U.N. Leaders to Help Release Russian Dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza

A coalition of 25 human rights groups that co-sponsor the annual Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy today called on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet and the UN Human Rights Council’s 55 independent investigators to demand the release of leading Russian dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza, along with all other prisoners of conscience jailed for protesting Putin’s war in Ukraine. Mr. Kara-Murza was the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Geneva Summit Courage Award.
