A total of 28 community associations and service organisations representing Western Australia's culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities will share in $3 million to improve facilities used for cultural events and social and welfare activities.
The grants will support projects that maintain, refurbish or extend existing facilities that are owned and operated by community associations.
The Community Capital Works Fund is part of the McGowan Government's $5.5 billion WA Recovery Plan.
The one-off grants launched in October 2020 for Western Australian CaLD community associations or community service organisations.

As stated by Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Minister Paul Papalia:
"The $3 million Community Capital Works Fund will provide much-needed support to culturally and linguistically diverse community associations.
"They can use these grants to improve their facilities, which will create opportunities for local businesses including architects, engineers, construction trades and manufacturing.
"These facilities are much more than just buildings - they are thriving hubs of activity that are often at the heart of a community where people can come together and have a sense of belonging."
