Works are now complete on a $4.9 million upgrade to Copelands Road which will see improved traffic flow, capacity and safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.
The major upgrade between Mills Road and Lillico Road is now finished, including important drainage works and the construction of the new Moe River bridge.
New footpaths and a shared bicycle path have also been created.
Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Kate Wilson is thrilled the works are now complete.
"This is an exciting upgrade for our community and I am pleased this has been delivered within budget and our expected timeframe," Cr Wilson said.
Traffic management was in place throughout the duration of works and we thank the community for their patience during the upgrades.
Local business Ace Earthmoving was awarded the contract for works, and worked with Council to deliver the project this year.
This project was jointly funded by Baw Baw Shire Council and Development Contributions Plan (DCP) as part of the overall Warragul Precinct Structure Plan.
