- Existing Mosman Park facility to be redeveloped and expanded
- New facility will cater to 1,175 clients with disability by 2022
Disability Services Minister Stephen Dawson has today announced a $4.8 million Lotterywest grant to Rocky Bay for the redevelopment and expansion of its Mosman Park facility.
Rocky Bay is a registered service provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and has been delivering disability services since it was founded in 1938.
The redevelopment project will provide an integrated disability and support facility that builds on existing rehabilitation, therapy, training, skills development, recreation, employment and technology programs.
Rocky Bay's current facility services 475 clients but no longer meets the needs of the disability sector.
The expanded facility is expected to cater for an additional 700 clients when it reaches full capacity in 2022.
The expansion is due to start in August next year and be completed by early 2021.
