The CookGovernmenthas partnered withBHP and CORE Innovation Hubto deliver $500,000 through theMade in the Pilbarainitiative tosupport businesses to grow and diversify in the region.
ElevenPilbara businesseswill befunded to develop projects that willdrive innovation, expand local capability, and create newemployment and trainingopportunities across the region.
The projects willcreatemorethan 40 jobs and 14 apprenticeshipsand unlock morethan$800,000 in private sector investment,demonstratingstrong industrysupport forPilbara-led innovation.
Made in the Pilbara was developed by CORE Innovation Hub with support from theCookGovernment through the Local Manufacturing Investment Fund (LMIF),withco-investment from BHP.
Nearly $14 millionhas beenallocatedto Western Australian-basedbusinessesunder the fund.
