6 Charged With Over 50 Offences After Drug Investigation And Stolen Bikes In Wagga Wagga - Strike Force Durdin And Strike Force Coyote

Six people have been charged and have faced court today after drugs, a taser, knife, cash and stolen bikes were seized, following an ongoing drug operation in the Riverina.

In July 2025, Strike Force Durdin was established to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs within the Wagga Wagga area.

In August 2025, officers attached to Riverina Police District established Strike Force Coyote to investigate property offences, as result of Strike Force Durdin.

Yesterday (Thursday 9 October 2025), officers attached to Southern Region Enforcement Squad with assistance from Southern Operation Support group, Riverina Police District and the NSW Dog unit executed 6 search warrants at homes in Ashmont, Lake Albert, Glenfield Park and North Wagga Wagga.

Six people were arrested and charged with 51 offences.

Notable incidents include;

About 9.20am, a search warrant was executed a home in Glenfield Park. Police seized 1.2 litres of GHB, methylamphetamine, and property alleged to have been stolen electronic devices for forensic examination. A 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and charged with Supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner and police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously. He appeared in Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 10 October 2025) where he was formally refused bail to reappear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

About 1.15pm yesterday (Thursday 9 October 2025) a search was executed at a home in Ashmont. Police seized methylamphetamine, a taser, cannabis, two mountain bikes police will allege were stolen. A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged with;

- Three counts of possess prohibited drug

- Two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit

- Fail to comply digital evidence access order direction

She appeared in Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 10 October 2025) where she was formally refused bail to reappear in Wagga Wagga local Court on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

About 7am, a search warrant was executed a home in Ashmont. Police seized methylamphetamine, cannabis, GBH, cannabis, two tasers, $4200 cash, a Honda motorbike police will allege was stolen. A 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. She was charged with 15 offences including;

- Two counts of supply prohibited drug great than or equal to commercial quantity

- Three counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis

- Two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit

- Deal with property proceeds of crime < $100000

- Goods suspected stolen in/on premises

She was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 10 October 2025), where she was formally refused bail to reappear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 10 December 2025.
