6 Festivals film coming to Lennox Head

Lennox Arts Board is excited to present a special family friendly screening of the film

6 Festivals at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre on Saturday 4 February 2023.

Award-winning filmmaker, Macario De Souza, describes the film as a coming-of-age drama about friendship, set against the colourful backdrop of music festivals. It follows the story of three rebellious best friends as they try to come to terms with one of them leaving life too early.

"The film portrays a moving love letter to young friendship and the life-altering power of live music by Dune Rats, G Flip, Bliss n Eso, B Wise, Peking Duk, Ruby Fields, Jerome Farah and Kobie Dee, along with fantastic footage shot at actual festivals," said Lennox Arts Board member and local film and television producer, Lois Randall.

"We chose 6 Festivals to appeal to teenage and young adult audiences and their families. The Q&A will be an opportunity to talk about the themes in the film and hear from Lennox local Yasmin Honeychurch, who stars in the film, about her experience developing a career as a young actor. She is a real inspiration."

The film has a MA15+ rating and children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Tickets: $15 general admission or $50 family group admission.

Lennox Arts Board is a not-for-profit collective of passionate volunteers who have facilitated arts and cultural activities with the Lennox Head community for more than 10 years.
