7-year-old girl critical after crash, NSW

A 7-year-old girl is in a condition after a crash in the state’s central west, NSW Police say.

Just before 4pm (Saturday 22 September 2018), emergency services were called to Henry Lawson Way at Glenelg, about 40km south of Forbes, after a car hit a tree.

A 43-year-old woman and 7-year-old girl were treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The girl remains in a critical condition, while the woman is stable.

Officers from the Central West Police District, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit, remain at the scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Henry Lawson Way, between Grenfell and Forbes remains closed. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for the latest information.
