$700,000 worth of cannabis seized, man charged in Lismore

A man will face court next month after cannabis with an estimated street value of up to $700,000 was located in Lismore yesterday, NSW Police say.

On Wednesday 22 March 2017, officers from Richmond Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Lodge Road Mountain, following a video posted online which showed a large amount of cannabis plants.

During the search, police located approximately 150 cannabis plants and over 350 cannabis seedlings.

A 49-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station.

He was charged with cultivate prohibited plant - commercial quantity, supply cannabis - indictable quantity and possess prohibited drug x 2.

He appeared at Lismore Local Court today where he was bail refused to appear at Lismore Local court on Tuesday 4 April 2017.
