What a great weekend! In my day-to-day work, I work a 12hr rotating shift pattern and only get 2 weekends in 4, so when the weather is good, it's a real blessing. This weekend was exceptional.

Saturday, I got to take Archie for a run around the Res for Goldfields Park Run, then I came home to do some mowing and housework.

After that, my wife and I went out for an evening drink at the recently opened cocktail bar at the Bull and Mouth.

Sunday, we enjoyed more sunshine with a stroll around the IGA market and then across to the beautiful vehicles displayed in the carpark on Nolan Lane. It was a real buzz to see so many people out enjoying themselves and taking full advantage of the good weather.

There is so much for people to do or get involved with in our community and I hope people take full advantage of that.

Last month saw many of our community get involved in our climate conversations and forum which was a real success.

There's a great turnout each week for the Goldfields Reservoir Park run which is a one way for people to get out and enjoy some physical activity at your own pace.

Soon the town will be humming with visitors from all over the state as we welcome back the Energy Breakthrough and early December, we have the Chopped festival in Carisbrook.

After Christmas we will see the return of the Highland Games and our first ever Pride Festival which I am excited for.

I hope all had as good a weekend as I did. Get out and get involved. There's plenty happening.
