A case of musical chairs in Prahran

Prahran Highway Patrol members had a case of switcheroo in Prahran this afternoon.

Police observed a black Holden Commodore in York Street before it pulled into a driveway.

The driver was observed getting out to open a gate while his passenger is alleged to have slid across into the driver's seat, driving the vehicle into the driveway.

The 37-year-old original driver will be charged on summons for driving whilst disqualified and has had his car impounded.

The 33-year-old passenger/driver from South Australia failed a preliminary drug test and police will await an evidentiary result.

This impound forms part of Operation Arid which will run from 12.01am on Friday 8 March until 11.59pm Monday 11 March, 2019.
