The Revealed: WA Aboriginal Art Market is returning tomorrow (April 13) and it is set to be bigger and better than ever.
The art market provides an opportunity to meet and purchase artwork from Aboriginal artists who have travelled across the State to take part.
The Revealed program also includes artist talks, professional development opportunities and an exhibition.
In its 11-year history, Revealed has featured over 500 artists, been experienced by more than 50,000 people, and generated almost $2 million in sales. Last year was the most successful ever, bringing in $480,000 in sales.
Due to the success of previous years, the art market and exhibition spaces will be expanded. The exhibition will also feature more artists and, for the first time ever, the exhibition will be accessible in a virtual online gallery.
Revealed is presented by the Fremantle Arts Centre (City of Fremantle), with funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Commonwealth Department of Communications and the Arts.
As stated by Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman:
"Revealed provides a fantastic opportunity to purchase remarkable and affordable Aboriginal art directly from the artists.
"It is a beloved annual event on the arts and culture calendar - and it's going from strength to strength.
"The exhibition will now extend into the main gallery and the art market will cover more of the gardens at the Fremantle Arts Centre.
"Revealed is emerging as an authentic Aboriginal cultural tourism event and we look forward to its continued growth."
As stated by Aboriginal Affairs Minister Ben Wyatt:
"The economic impact for the artists through the sales of their work, and the skills developed through the professional development part of the program are fantastic.
"At the heart of Revealed are the talented Aboriginal artists from all over Western Australia who come together each year to participate in the program and make the market such an energised gathering.
"Aboriginal culture is a treasured and unique part of our State, and I am delighted we can acknowledge this through Revealed.
"Through the new virtual gallery, Aboriginal art and culture more broadly can be experienced by anyone, anywhere in the world at any time."

"Revealed is a much-loved annual exhibition that brings thousands of visitors to the iconic Fremantle Arts Centre.
"As a hub for arts and culture, Fremantle is a perfect place to showcase emerging Aboriginal artists from across WA.
