The ACT Government has launched its 10-year Disability Justice Strategy, which aims to address unequal access to civil and criminal justice in the ACT.
The launch of the Disability Justice Strategy was accompanied by the First Action Plan, which includes $4.9 million budgeted over four years to support implementation.
NDS commends the ACT Government for the depth and breadth of the new strategy and its potential to make a real difference in the way that the justice system and related processes respond to the needs of people with disability in the ACT.
