Acting Chair appointed for National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation

The Australian Government has appointed Ms Teresa Dyson as the acting Chair to the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) for a three month period.

Mr Adrian Harrington has resigned as Chair of the NHFIC Board, and the Government would like to thank Mr Harrington for his dedicated service to the NHFIC Board.

Mr Harrington served as a Member of the Board since 2018, and as Chair from 2021.

The experience and leadership that Mr Harrington brought to the Corporation during his time was instrumental in the development and continued success of the NHFIC's programs and services, including creating a social bond market for social and affordable housing.

Ms Dyson is an experienced company director and chair, with experience across government entities, ASX listed companies and not‑for‑profit organisations across the finance, infrastructure, media, energy, innovation and health sectors, following over 20 years practising as a lawyer.

Ms Dyson has been a member of the NHFIC Board since 2018.

This appointment will continue the high level of skills and experience available to the NHFIC to help ensure its programs and services continue to support efforts to improve housing outcomes for Australians.
