Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) Board member Justin Mannolini has been appointed Acting Chair of the NAIF and will lead the organisation as it transitions to its wider responsibilities.

Mr Mannolini is a lawyer, company director and former investment banker with extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions and corporate governance. He has served on the board since NAIF was established in 2016.

Mr Mannolini has the skills and experience to lead the NAIF as continues its success in supporting projects in northern Australia. So far, NAIF has committed more than $2.8 billion to infrastructure projects across the north, supporting projects with a forecast economic impact of more than $8.5 billion and supporting around 8,000 jobs.

The Government has announced reforms currently before Federal Parliament, which will extend its operations for five more years and widen the scope of projects and financing methods available to support development in northern Australia.

I thank outgoing Chair Khory McCormick for his work in establishing NAIF as a leading source of finance for development projects across northern Australia.

Mr Mannolini will remain Acting Chair until a new Chair is appointed.
