Council has today made the difficult decision to close Adaminaby Pool on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week until the start of the December school holidays (Monday 20 December 2021) due to a lack of available and qualified pool attendants.
Advertising for the role has been underway since August 2021, but due to COVID ending the ski season early, the usual pool of applicants for our pool attendant roles have already left the region.
The statewide shortage of pool attendants has made the search even more difficult.
This reduction in opening days is only a temporary situation until Monday 20 December. Monaro Aquatic Services is currently staffing the pool on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday each week. They will have more staff available to staff the facility seven days a week once school breaks up for the year.
