A man is facing additional charges following an investigation into the fatal stabbing of a woman and the wounding of another in Sydney earlier this year.
On Tuesday (13 August 2019), detectives from the Homicide Squad, assisted by Central Metropolitan Region, established Strike Force Lalchere to investigate the stabbing murder of 24-year-old woman, Michaela Dunn, and the wounding of a 41-year-old woman in Sydney's CBD.
As a result of investigations, a 20-year-old man was charged with murder, attempted murder, wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, intentionally choke etc person with recklessness, and common assault.
Today (Tuesday 15 October 2019), following further inquiries, the man was charged with armed with intent to wound, possession of child pornography and possession of a prohibited drug.
He appeared via video link in Central Local Court today (Tuesday 15 October 2019) where bail was formally refused. He will reappear at the same court on Tuesday 10 December 2019.
