Four members of a Kilburn syndicate are celebrating an early Christmas gift after winning a substantial share of a $993,000 division one prize in the Saturday X Lotto.
The Adelaide group was one of the five national winners in draw 4425 on December 16, 2023, initially securing $982,100.68.
Their winnings were boosted further thanks to their marked System 8 entry, which also clinched prizes in divisions three, four, five, and six. This elevated their total division one prize to an impressive $993,514.28, allotting each member a share of $248,378.58.
The syndicate was organized by the Kilburn North Licensed Post Office & Newsagency, located in Churchill Centre, Kilburn. This stroke of luck right before the holiday season has brought joy and excitement to the winners.
Anna Hobdell, a spokesperson for The Lott, says all members of the winning group had unregistered entries and may still be unaware of their windfall.
“This Adelaide syndicate scored one of the five division one wins nationally from the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw which is wondrous right before Christmas".
“Each syndicate member held unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group."
Hobdell emphasized the life-changing nature of such a win, especially during the festive season, and encouraged those who participated in the syndicate to check their tickets.
The winning numbers for draw 4425 were 12, 39, 13, 8, 17, and 41, with supplementary numbers 27 and 32. The draw produced five division one winning entries nationwide – two in the ACT, and one each in South Australia, Queensland, and Victoria.
