AFMA to refund Commonwealth fishing levy instalments and Torres Strait Prawn Fishery levy instalment

Following the Australian Government's announcement on 1 April 2020 to waive all Commonwealth fishing levies for the remainder of 2019-20, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority will not be enforcing the collection of any further fishing levies for the remainder of 2019-20 associated with Commonwealth levy instalments 2 and 3, and the Torres Strait Prawn Fishery.

In accordance with the Australian Government's announcement, AFMA is actively working to refund any fisheries levy payments that have already been paid by Commonwealth concession holders associated with Commonwealth fisheries levy invoices 2 and 3, or with the Torres Strait Prawn Fishery levies for the 2019-20 fishing season.

To help facilitate this and ensure your refund is processed promptly, it is important that Commonwealth concession holders download and email the completed Reimbursement of Levy Instalment(s)
