The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred in Tennant Creek overnight.
Around 1:10am, police received reports that a group of youths had allegedly unlawfully entered a primary school on Paterson Street and caused significant property damage.
It is alleged that while the group were inside the premises, they damaged multiple classroom windows and furniture, threw paint across the walls and floors, discharged fire extinguishers, and damaged several television units before fleeing the scene.
Police attended and a crime scene was established. No property is believed to be stolen at this stage.
The offenders remain outstanding, and investigations are ongoing.
