HiTZ Cricket, the world's first operator-less, AI-powered cricket training experience, has announced its global expansion from the UK, with the first HiTZ Australia site set to launch during the 2025/26 summer.
Through a landmark partnership with Cricket Victoria, the collaboration will see the first HiTZ Australia site launched at Melbourne's CitiPower Centre, marking the start of an ambitious rollout across the state.
HiTZ Cricket transforms existing indoor cricket training venues, as well as under-utilised spaces into year-round cricket hubs powered by BatFast technology.
The smart-tech allows players of all levels to elevate how they train. HiTZ combines cutting-edge technology, data & insight and smart-accessibility, giving cricketers of all ages and abilities the chance to practice anytime, without needing a bowler, coach or umpire.
Players can face realistic bowling scenarios with a choice of over 1 million automated bowling variations, analyse batting performance data with ball-tracking cameras and on-demand video replays, plus compete with friends through tailored challenges to match skills and goals.
HiTZ has seen rapid growth since launching in the UK in 2025, with eight sites now open nationwide and four more currently in development.
Earlier this year, Harry Brook – ICC's number two-ranked Test batter and England Men's T20 and ODI captain, currently competing in the highly anticipated Men's Ashes series – was announced as the first official HiTZ Athlete.
HiTZ CEO, Dominic Reed said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be bringing HiTZ to Australia and be in partnership with Cricket Victoria. Our mission has always been to make cricket more accessible, more fun, and more data-driven.
"Australia's love of the game and its strong community networks make it the perfect place to launch HiTZ's international expansion with further markets set to follow in 2026."
HiTZ and Cricket Victoria's partnership will explore expanding HiTZ across other sites in Victoria over the next three years, including club, academy, and community-based venues.
HiTZ has also partnered with the defending champion Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL. This partnership is the perfect platform to raise awareness for what's to come, connecting this innovative cricket experience with one of the game's most exciting teams.
Cricket Victoria CEO, Nick Cummins added: "This partnership aligns perfectly with our goals to grow participation and deliver innovative cricket experiences for Victorians. HiTZ offers an incredible opportunity for cricketers of all ages and abilities to improve their skills in their own time, while bringing the game to life in fresh and exciting ways.
"We're proud that the CitiPower Centre will be the first HiTZ venue in Australia, and we look forward to players from every part of the cricket community coming to give it a try."
BatFast CEO, Runish Gukha said: "This announcement marks a significant milestone for BatFast and HiTZ, representing the first stage of our joint global expansion strategy. We're incredibly grateful to Cricket Victoria for their partnership and thrilled to collaborate to bring our state-of-the-art technology to cricketers across Victoria.
"Central to BatFast's mission is increasing and retaining participation in sport, and this collaboration is an important step toward that vision."
HiTZ Australia will be chaired by former Cricket Australia CEO, Nick Hockley.
