AIS Concussion Guidelines Making Sport Safer For All

AIS concussion and brain health position statement

Eighteen months after its release, the AIS Concussion and Brain Health Position Statement is continuing to reshape how concussion is managed across Australian sport, especially at youth and community levels.

The Australian Guidelines for Youth and Community Sport was a central part of the position statement when it was launched last year, with a total of 30 sports, including Athletics Australia, Touch Football Australia and the AFL, going on to endorse and adopt the minimum 21-day standdown before a return to contact training or play.
