The Albanese Government has appointed 35 new General Members to the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) for various terms.
Established by the Government in 2024, the ART is a fully independent body responsible for reviewing decisions affecting the lives of Australians.
The new appointments will help ensure all cases are being heard fairly, effectively and efficiently while ensuring the Tribunal's work remains accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of all parties.
Each General Member was appointed in accordance with section 208 of the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 , and was originally assessed as suitable for appointment by an independent assessment panel in accordance with the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 and Administrative Review Regulations 2024 .
On behalf of the Albanese Government, I congratulate each of these members on their appointment and look forward to their service to the Australian public.
