Albany homicide: Name release

Police can now release the details of the man who died following an incident in Albany on Monday, as the homicide investigation continues.

He was 24-year-old Epapara Joseph Jordon Poutapu.

"Police and victim support are working with the whānau as they come to terms with this loss," Detective Inspector Callum McNeill says.

"Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time."

Detective Inspector McNeill says the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

"At this stage, we are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter."
