Alleged OMCG member charged over public place shooting, NSW

Detectives have charged an alleged member of an outlaw motorcycle gang over a shooting in Sydney’s south, NSW Police say.

Around 10.45am on Thursday 30 August, a 31-year-old man was shot in the left hip in Hampden Road at Beverly Hills.

He was rushed to St George hospital in a critical condition.

The following day, a 29-year-old man from Beverly Hills was arrested by police following a pursuit and shot fired at Leppington in Sydney’s south-west.

At the time of the arrest, officers allegedly recovered a .357 revolver found on the accused man.

Detectives from St George Police Area Command investigating the alleged domestic dispute today travelled to an address in Silverwater and charged the man with discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They have also seized Hells Angels OMCG clothing during the execution of crime scene warrants at Beverly Hills and Oran Park.

The man has been ordered to appear before Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Friday 5 October).
