The Riverina's vibrant dance community will come alive on Sunday 8 February 2026 with two trailblazing ensembles, ALLY and Caribé, uniting for an unforgettable afternoon of music, dance, and storytelling at the Roxy Community Theatre.
Blending rich cultural traditions from Peru, Cuba, Brazil and contemporary jazz, Ally & Caribé will showcase virtuosic musicianship, powerful Afro-Latin rhythms, and electrifying Cuban dance.
The performance features live spoken word by acclaimed Brazilian-Australian poet Dai Moret, adding a layer of emotional depth.
"Audiences have the opportunity to participate in an Afro-Peruvian & Cuban Rhythm & Dance Workshop at 2.30pm, followed by the full concert from 4-6pm. That way you can choose to remain in your seat or get up and dance during the performance," said Manager Roxy Theatre, Emma Di Muzio.
Gai Bryant, one of Australia's leading Latin jazz composers and the creative force behind both ensembles, says "This show celebrates cultural connection through rhythm, movement, and community. Audiences can expect a powerful, joyous fusion of deep tradition and modern innovation."
