There the cardiologist team determined that John urgently needed an aortic valve replacement in a revolutionary TAVR procedure in the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.
As his condition was critical a Life Flight Lear Jet Ambulance was organised from Cairns to Brisbane.
He experienced open heart trauma surgery in the Mater Hospital in Townsville.
John recovered well but had scary hallucinations from all the drugs.
